Welcome to Off Duty Travel

Hey there, fellow traveler. If you’ve stumbled upon this blog, you’re probably either planning a trip, daydreaming about quitting your job (which I do quite often even though I LOVE my job), or just here for some giggles. Either way, welcome to Off Duty Travels, where we drink (responsibly) too much, eat wherever is trending on social media, hit some bucket list cities (as long as they have some awesome golf), and occasionally remember to take photos.

What Is This Blog About?

Think of this as your off-the-clock travel guide that you didn’t know you’d appreciate, minus the boring stuff. We’re here for the good times—boozy adventures, ridiculous itineraries, and making questionable life choices as if money didn’t exist.

You won’t find a list of “quaint coffee shops with artisanal lattes” here. But you will find:

Travel Summaries – Unfiltered recaps of my trips, the places I stay, and whether or not I’d do it all again.

Upcoming Trips & Plans – What’s next on the horizon and why you might want to book the same trip.

An Alcoholic’s Guide To… – The top 5 places to drink in any given city, whether it’s Disneyland or Austin, TX.

Top 5-10 Lists – Because ranking things makes everything more fun. Best bars, best golf courses, best things to do when you’re hungover—whatever the city, we’ll break it down.

Photography & Travel Hacks – Behind-the-scenes looks at capturing epic travel shots and the occasional tip to save you money.

Wild Travel Challenges – Because sometimes a normal trip isn’t enough. Think: “Can I Play 36 Holes and Drink 36 Beers in One Day?” Spoiler: No chance.

Why You’ll Want to Stick Around

If you’re the kind of person who plans trips around where to get the best drinks, enjoy some occasional fine dining, world-class itineraries, or just some good stories to tell later, this blog is for you.

Expect raw opinions and zero sugarcoating—just the kind of travel content that makes you laugh, book a flight, and maybe question your life choices.

And if you’re here for the photos, good news: I run Off Duty Photography, which means I’ll be posting the best travel shots along the way (who knows, maybe I’ll start selling prints).
